RIP Peter Hatch

It is with great sadness that we must report the passing of Peter Hatch, a true club stalwart. Peter played 1st XV & 2nd XV and was Swallows Captain for many years. He also had the role of 1st team manager and oversaw fitness training for many years under Clive Marshall, and certainly relished putting us all through our paces. Our thoughts are with his wife Jill and his family at this very sad time. Further details of his funeral arrangements will follow in due course.

Lennie’s Losing Hat Trick on Drybrook’s Day
Drybrook 36-27 Sutton & Epsom
On Saturday Dings Crusaders RFC hosted a veritable feast of four finals. A large and enthusiastic crowd were bathed in unbroken sunshine. It all started with the amuse-bouche of Ashley Down Old Boys downing the colours of Hastings & Bexhill to the tune of 34-20. There followed the hors d’oeuvres as Cheltenham North overcame Honiton 38-32. The penultimate plate served up a thrilling 28-24 win for Ealing Trailfinders over Old Bristolians. The afternoon culminated with a main course of the Papa Johns Regional 2 South Plate Final as Sutton & Epsom took on Drybrook.
