Dan Jones Hat Trick Brings Christmas Cheer For Sutton
Sutton & Epsom 61-17 Old Reigatian
On Saturday 6th January, 2024 Old Reigatian had a hard fought 28-26 victory over Old Colfeians and went to the summit of Regional 2 South East. Sadly, for the visitors their form since has matched the declining popularity of their famous alumni, Keir Starmer, as they are winless this campaign. However, they would have journeyed to Rugby Lane for the festive fixture with a degree of optimism as the Black & Whites had the worst form in the rest of the league with five straight losses. There was a caveat that the Black & Whites had become the ‘Kings of Bonus Points’ in this run. The hosts ended their losing streak in fine style with nine tries in a 61-17 triumph and condemned Old Reigatian to ruminate over Christmas their plight at the bottom of the table.
